AZONTO FUNDAMENTALS WORKSHOP

One-time special workshop. 

Azonto is a unique and energetic dance style and music genre that originates in the West Part of Africa in the country called Ghana. It’s roots are derived from the traditional dance named “Kpanlogo“. Azonto is know for its hip and knee movements as well as its individualism as dancers used it to tell tell stories and mimic everyday activities. This workshop will introduce you to some fundamental Azonto steps and give you a better understanding of the history and roots of the dance.

BAFFOUR KWASI OBENG_ADJEI is a young aspiring artist who does not shy away from any challenge. Dancing  since the age of 12, Kwasi always had a passion for dance.  Having the ability to train with companies that include The Black Stars Collective, Esie Mensah Creations, and Lua Shayenne Dance Company, he was able to gain a vast amount of knowledge and understanding that has help cultivate the unique style he displays when he dances.
