WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

7:00PM - 8:00PM

Dominican Bachata - Bachata is a genre of Latin American music that originated in the Dominican Republic in the first half of the 20th century with Indigenous, African and European musical elements. Due to Marbella's Dominican background, their bachata classes try to stay as authentic as possible whilst still acknowledging todays growing modern culture’s influence. The class is usually broken down into some shines/footwork and partnerwork, as they are both imperative to the authenticity of bachata’s origin. You’re certainly bound to have a lot of fun in this class!

8:30PM - 9:30PM

Shines On 2 with Afro Cuban - Mambo and afro cuban is one of the most popular combination in today's Latin dance scene. Fusing them correctly is where many struggle. Marbella trained afro cuban intensely in Habana, Cuba for a long period of time to master as much as they could the accuracy. In this class you will sweat, work hard, and move your body in ways you didn't think you could before! Afro cuban and mambo fusion is extremely fun, you’ll never want to stop after this workshop.

9:30PM - 10:30PM

Mambo Patterns (Int/Adv) - Partnerwork is vastly growing with the rise of Latin dance globally. Its important for high level dancers to also have a place where they can grow and see things from a new perspective, especially when salsa partnerwork starts to look the same everywhere you go. This is where Marbella come in - in this class you will see partnerwork differently, you will be learning new ways of turning, spinning, moving, trading places, arm tosses, wraps, transferring weight change and beyond! Your brain will get as much if not more of a workout as your body will, so be ready to learn a lot!
