EMPOWERMENT THROUGH DANCE

 DANCE, EDUCATION, MENTORSHIP, COMMUNITY

City Dance Corps Foundation’s mission is to empower and uplift marginalized youth and adults by providing them access to high-quality dance education and mentorship programs, while building positive and meaningful engagement with the community at large

Far too often, financial hardships tend to reduce the self-esteem of those experiencing it. The countless limitations under such conditions force many down a disruptive path.

City Dance Corps Foundation strives to help marginalized youth and adults dealing with hardships to stay on a positive track.

Our vision is to provide a positive space and outlet where self-esteem, critical thinking, creativity, and freedom of expression are fostered.

Our dance education and mentorship programs aim to better equip youth and adults with a more knowledgeable, confident, and hopeful mindset needed to better manage and overcome their hardships. We believe nurturing a positive outlook on life and actively building self-esteem through dance can lead to a renewed sense of freedom and autonomy.

In addition to dance classes, City Dance Corps Foundation provides quality dance education in the form of talks and seminars with a focus on dance history. We believe that by paying homage to those who came before us, we can inspire and empower present dancers and artists. By deepening our knowledge and understanding of dance history and its roots, we can add more substance, intention, and profoundness to our future dance and artistic expressions.

City Dance Corps Foundation believes in the positive effect of community engagement and collaborations. Building mutually-beneficial connections between local individuals and businesses alike amplifies the community's success. As advocates for the advancement of the public’s appreciation of the arts, we are dedicated to showcasing high-quality artistic dance performances in community places and public spaces alike.
